Roscommon County United Way Annual Campaign
Houghton Lake, MI
Roscommon County United Way kicked off their 2017 fundraising campaign with an event at the Houghton Lake Family Fare. Every year the local United Way conducts a fundraising campaign to help support nonprofits offering health and human services in Roscommon County. This year the local Family Fare donated hot dogs and all the fixings for hot dog sale to help raise funds for the 2017 campaign. Board and community volunteers helped make the event possible. We are especially thankful for the assistance of our young volunteers, Shauni Nielsen, Ireland Selfridge and Raegan Blackwell.
United Way works to help fight problems in our local communities. Every day we all hear of the problems facing our communities and all the problems can seem overwhelming. Everyone wants to help, but often we are not sure where to begin. United Way offers people the opportunity to come together to create a collaborative approach to raising funds to help fight problems in the community. Opportunities to give are offered through workplace campaigns, direct mail and online giving and all funds raised stay in the community to help residents of Roscommon County. One person can change one life. Be the one. Give today. For more information visit www.roscommoncountyunitedway.org or call the United Way office at 989.275.2067.
The Roscommon County United Way’s Mission is to improve lives by harnessing the caring power of our community.
